Since this year’s Nisei is really going to be the last Nisei I thought I’d take a trip down memory lane to when I went to my first Nisei. Actually, Nisei 03 was my first show period. I was with 13 Devils at the time and that’s how I came to know Billy and Joey as they were my teammates. Ahhh… that was a good show. I remember the excitement during roll in as it was my first and how fucking tired I was but it was all good. And I remember it being fucking hot and I kept going back for some bomb shaved ice. I think I literally ate like 10 shaved ice no joke. Shit was bomb! Anyways, we didn’t show very strong that year and I think Joey’s car was in the shop but I remember we were wedged in between the Falken rig and Hybrid’s line up. And then after the show going straight tot he computer and checking autoimportcraze.com or carandmodel.com to see if we made coverage…Ahh.. those were good times. Man how far we’ve come. Anyways, I happened to save all the event coverage from AIC so I guess I’ll post them here.

Here’s my car! Yup! Full carbon fiber front end back when it was rare. I remember buying the car and 1 week later it went to the shop to get prototyped for all this and I didn’t have the car for like 4 months.

Paul Gibson’s 350Z, maybe you guys remember those black magic comercials??? yup this is the car. He later painted it purple and sold it. And to this day the guy who bought it kept it the same as we’ve seen it around.

And where it all began for the IS300. Not Nisei 03 but Billy debuted his IS at Nisei in 07. When he bought the IS originally he said it would just be his grocery getter…. uh huh… and just for comparison
