So as most of you know or not, I’ve been diagnosed with a disc bulge causing Sciatica in my right leg and I’ve been going to physical therapy for the past few months. And Air Runner just happens to be near by my physical therapy clinic so I’d frequently visit afterwards just to shoot the shit with Shin. And this past month being November meant when ever I visited Shin he was working on their SEMA display car, the Five Axis GS. Now this thing alone is pretty bad ass and now with Air Runner this shits insane. It’s not really brought out to shows or featured by any sites so it was pretty sweet just to sit there and gawk at it.
Anyways, you’ll notice that the photos are by stickydiljoe and that’s because they are! Shin wanted to shoot the GS before he had to return it back to Lexus so I enlisted the help of good old buddy Joey of The Chronicles and I’m glad I did. Joey’s so meticulous with his photos it was a no brainer that he shoot the car. Shin even mentioned to me afterwards how long Joey would take to set up the lighting for one shot which he’ll also spend as much time editing in photoshop too. But what you get is near perfection. So I hope you guys enjoy this collab feature. Check out The Chronicles for more on this feature as we did a simultaneous release and Joey should have more pictures on his site.
So before I show you guys the feature I wanted to post some pictures from the actual install but unfortunately I don’t have photos for a lot of it like the install of the sensors for the Auto leveling system and mounting of the struts and everything so I wont go into too much detail on the install.
Now for the kit, Shin opted to go with adding the new E-level auto leveling system which is fucking money! A definite must upgrade for any of you cats out there already on Air. He also put the new Air Voice System which he demonstrated at Aufo Fashions VIP Fest. It enables you to program sounds or record your voice to alert you at certain ride heights. It was funny because he had pre-recorded Freddie for the alerts. So now anytime you leveled up or down it was to the sound of Freddie’s voice lol.
Now even though this car has a wide body Shin still had to cut like 2 inches off the original fender so that the car would actually dump. He couldn’t have the fenders sitting on tire because the wide body is made with fiberglass and that would have cracked for sure.
The bumper bolt had to be relocated as well to make room for clearance.
Scratches no more now with Air Runner installed.
And on with the feature….
iPad app to control the Air which is freaking sweet!
I freaking love this shot!
This is so much better than having 8 individual solenoids….
Clean and simple setup
I would highly recommend the E-level system. Shin at Air Runner or Ross from Midnight Garage can get this kit and install it for you.
One of the better looking five access wheels.
