15 years of Island Motorsports

So it’s been 15 years Island Motorsports has been around and that’s a long time.  It’s hard to believe it’s been that long.  Quite an accomplishment I think because in this industry only the strong survive and survive they have.  So this meet was a special one.  The last meet was pretty good and I’m gonna say it again, the bbq pulled pork sandwiches were freaking bomb so of course I’d come back this year, and even have a booth this time around which was cool but yeah… I really hate waking up early in the morning.  Billy couldn’t make it because he had taken the red eye from a business trip the night before and was in no shape to come out so I went solo but it was okay since a lot of the homies like Lance, Sirv, Jonjon, and Sang came out to help.  I even ended up bringing the drift RC since HP was setting up a track.  The weather was a bit gloomy, pretty reminiscent from last years meet so my pictures came out dark again.  ehhh… weather always seems to be against me or I just need to invest in a new camera.

Anyways, the meet had a great turnout and was very well organized.  Island even had like this CAD drawing of the floor plan and everything.  This time around Island even managed to have the city let them shut down the street in front of the shop which was pretty crazy.  Praxis was out with their clean TL and Sick Matrix.  Scion Evolution, VIP Fusion, and Fuscion came out big with like 15-20 cars I think to rep the Scions.  Autofashion made the trek from Diego and set up a booth.  Midnight Garage and Gold Member Interiors set up shop right next to us which was dope.  Joey from The Chronicles came out and kicked it as well as Joey from Fckyourcrew.com.  Emerson was out taking snaps for StanceNation.com and a grip of vendors like Greddy, Mackin, DC Sport, and Magic Film were out with their booths.  So all in all a good and successful meet brought to you by the good people at Island Motorsports.  I have to say this meet was really chill and it was great just getting to hang out with all the homies.  We will definitely be going to their next event which I’m sure will be bigger and better.
